I don’t currently know of the exact mechanism of Quercetin that prevents excess cell growth, though in my references the exact mechanism is spelt out in extreme detail, but for this experiment I only needed to know the bigger picture of how Quercetin works.
Do you know or how would you be able to find out the characteristic(s) of Quercetin that makes it have antiproliferative activity towards certain cancers?
Currently I would not of the exact mechanisms that make Quercetin have antiproliferative activities. Though in one of the references, the article goes into much more detail, on Quercetin as a compound and what causes it to have such anti-cancer effects.
If Quercetin were to prove effective and safe, is it possible to use the drug both on its own and/or in addition to another chemotherapy? Will there be further studies on the synergism of Quercetin?
If Quercetin does prove to work, then I believe it will work better with the addition of radiation, but combining it with other medication can also prove to be effective, but further research would need to be conducted on my part to see the previous research.
If the effects of Quercetin alone were effective, I think it would still be very interesting to see it combined with another compound, since improvements can always be made.

Based on our results, it probably has something to do with the effect not being as effective as already established treatments.
Why do you think the Quercetin dried out the food?
Quercetin probably pulled the moisture from the food, and dried it up.

Some of the things mentioned in the reference include modulating PI3K/Akt/mTOR, Wnt/β-catenin, and MAPK/ERK1/2 pathways.
