Why does Hype-C not play a role in DNA damage repair? Is there another gene that you possibly researched that may work better for the research goal you hoped to achieve?
Becuase it plays a different role in t. thermophila. Our research goal was to find out whether it did play a part in DNA dmg repair, and we found that out.
What experiment would you suggest doing to determine the role of Hype-C, or is there another experiement you could do to ensure it does not have a role in DNA damage repair?
Introduce other agents into the PCR samples that induce other conditions, such as sending signals for like lactose or something, then trial and error to find out what role it plays.
I would try end point PCR. I personally do not think any other forms of PCR would be more promising for being a gene for DDR, becuase frankly, PCR isnt a gene like Hype-C is.
