Does an increase in Twi2 cause damage to the DNA or is the increase a result of damaged DNA? LikeLike Reply
Do you know why there is an increase in gene expression of Twi2? What is the function or purpose of the gene expression increase? LikeLike Reply
there is literature saying that Twi2 is part of the DNA repair pathway in tetrahymena and it is a protein that carries sRNAs to the location of DNA damage. When its expression increases this means there are more Twi2 proteins going to DNA damage. LikeLike Reply
RNA is very easily degraded so it must be converted to cDNA in order to be run on a PCR. LikeLike Reply
Hi great job! Can you elaborate a bit on how Twi2 is implicated in the sRNA DNA repair pathway? LikeLike Reply

The increase is a result of DNA damage that we induced with hydroxyurea.
