Hi! The gene expression profile does. Conjugation is the exchange of genetic material, which requires lots of DNA damage and repair. Conjugation happens on a gene expression profile from C0-C18, and Rrm2 is highly expressed during those stages!
I believe it may be due to error in creating PCR samples. The other samples were all as expected meaning that the issue was not with running gel electrophoresis. It was very unfortunate, we were very excited for the results!
RPPO and Rad51 act as positive controls! Without both, or one, of the positive controls we cannot make definite conclusions based off of the gel. It may seem insignificant, but it means we cannot further our research until the error with controls is eliminated and the results with Rrm2 are still the same. Thank you for your time!
