Our gel electrophosis took about 1 hour to run and about 20 minutes to solidify. Our first run was successful, the second wasn’t and in future experiments we would have to rerun it.

Gdna is genomic dna and cdna is coding dna. Gdna is compromised of large dna fragments, typically gdna has both coding and noncoding sequences whereas cdna has exons only- no introns.
You have to analyze the results via a standard curve! Hopefully when the results are within that curve or close to it. The standard curve shows different amounts of same DNA sample.

Roughly how long did it take to obtain the first round of your results with the gel electrophoresis?

Great presentation! Covered all of the material very well. What is the “cDNA and gDNA”? If that can be answered “easily” haha.

Great job on the presentation! What would you predict the results would be when researching Q-rt PCRs?
