A lower concentration of Salmonella is allowing the bacteria to die more quickly unlike the higher concentrations which had more Salmonella inside of the of the dilutions which allowed the bacteria inside of the well to live.
Our group found it very interesting of how the compound that was found in edible mushrooms could possibly have an effect on treating Salmonella Typhimurium.
Why would a lower concentration have more of an effect on the salmonella than the higher concentration dilutions had?

Hello! Were Betulin the only compound that was used throughout this experiment or were there others that you can use?

Due to timing, we were only able to use only one compound throughout the experiment which was Betulin.

Hello, I don’t know if my other comment sent but was 20% dimethylsulfoxide the universal negative control or was that chosen by your group?

The 20% DMSO was the universal negative control.
