What evidence specifically has previously suggested that procyanidins have antimicrobial properties? Also, do you think you might get different results if you were to test against other strains of batería than Salmonella Typhimirium?
I am not sure how our compound would interact with other strain of bacteria, but it should interact in the same way against Salmonella Typhi. Here is a link to one source detailing the antimicrobial properties of proanthocyanidins: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0753332219305359.
Thank you! Based on our research into the different compounds in Cornelian cherries, proanthocyanidins had more evidence to suggest antimicrobial properties.

Great video and poster, very well made. Why did you test the proanthocyanidins in the cherries compared to the anthocyanins?

How do you believe the proanthocyanidins would behave in environments warmer than everage human body temperature? Like a patient with a high fever?

I am not sure how that would affect their efficacy we would have to do more tests in order to find that out.

Very well done! for future experiments what compounds would you expect to see if you were to test it again?

Thank you! We would find another compound in the class of proanthocyanidins that is present in Cornelian cherries to do further testing.

Amazing poster and presentation! Why do you think you missed the compound the first time?
