  1. Great job Bianca! Even though Goat Whey Protein proved to not be a HIT, would you still consider these results valuable information?

    1. Thank you Geneva! Yes I would. Our results show that 50% ethanol is not a great solvent, which can be avoided in future research.

    1. We did not find research on solvents for goat whey other than water. Yet, we were advised to carry out an ethanol extraction instead of using water as a solvent. Using a different solvent would allow us to see the effect of goat whey on S. Typhimurium. We were not able to see that here because the 50% ethanol killed bacteria.

    1. This information is useful because it shows that 50% ethanol is not a good solvent for goat whey, avoiding its use in future research. A “hit” is something that can be used as an antibiotic.

  2. Great presentation! What does the “HIT” mean? And is this information still relevant even though it did not reach the HIT?

  3. Is goat milk not being a “hit” still progress for your research? If you could conduct your research again what would you do different this time?
