A1 cluster phages are not necessarily better candidates for phage therapy as there are many factors that make phages good candidates like if they release any toxins when they lyse bacteria cells and the efficiency of the phage to lyse bacteria. Being part of the A cluster means that it has very similar genomic information in relation to other A cluster phages, they also generally share many characteristics like tail length and capsid size and shape.
