Could you explain what you mean by, “prepare DNA for copying”, in your restriction digest? Was the purpose to isolate DNA for sequencing, or to characterize the genome of the phage?
you mentioned that this is currently being used in healthcare settings… is that reserved for specific usages (such as multi drug resistant bacteria) because I know that it isn’t routine at the moment. And where do you see the future of bacteriophages going… do you think this will revolutionize the way we use and prescribe antibiotics in the future and potentially replace them?

We Prepared the DNA by adding the enzymes to it. Copying was not the correct term. Sorry about the confusion!
