Further classification is necessary to determine if it is a novel phage, and also classifying would help because it would be classified into a family which could tell you what bacteria it is most likely most effective against. There are not any other uses that I know of.

The purpose of this investigation was to identify and analyze a novel phage and see if it would be an ideal candidate for phage therapy.

We would stay in the same area because we know that phage exist there. We just need more high quality and quantity DNA.

There isn’t for temperate phages but they can be genetically modified to be lytic by removing the repressor and integrase proteins.
