    1. We hope to learn more about the exact role Cory plays in the DNA damage repair pathway. We would hope that another research group could pick up this research. If we learn exactly how Cory functions, we could begin experiments to see if it could help repair damaged human DNA.

    1. We had 2 controls, RPP0 (which does not change levels of expression after DNA damage) and Rad51 (which increases expression after DNA damage). These are common DNA damage controls so they were purchased and used in lab.

    1. If we can learn the exact mechanism by which Cory plays a role in the DNA damage repair pathway, then we can learn if we can use it to treat damaged DNA in humans that cause genetic diseases.

    1. In the future, we would want to do a qRt-PCR, which will give us more information on Cory’s levels of expression before DNA damage, and give us more specific numbers on the increased levels of expression as DNA damage is induced.
