The consensus gel (a validated result of Hypec’s DNA damage results) as well as others in our lab who studied Hypec indicated that Hypec was more expressed. These results indicate that Hypec is involved in the DNA Damage Response pathway.
What other iterations of the experiment indicated that Hypec was more expressed after being induced with DNA damage, and why do you think these results were different?
The results were the same as ours, as ours also indicated increased expression of Hypec; However, we were unable to verify our result because our positive control that would indicate that the same amount of cDNA was put into each sample was degraded, so we could not say for sure in our results that the brighter bar in the gel was caused by increased expression or an error in loading the sample.
