One of my members of my group Albert had a friend who had done research on Mag 2, but our professor had mentioned this compound after we had a failed the trial with Mag 2. We had also done research about polymyxin and this compound has been known as a depressive agaisnt Salmonella typhimurium.
Polymyxins are often the only effective antibiotic agent against multidrug-resistant organisms and so based off of our research as well I would say yes.
What inspired your group to choose this compound?
One of my members of my group Albert had a friend who had done research on Mag 2, but our professor had mentioned this compound after we had a failed the trial with Mag 2. We had also done research about polymyxin and this compound has been known as a depressive agaisnt Salmonella typhimurium.
If this compound was used in a drug to fight against bacterial infection, is there any possibility of bacteria gaining a resistance to it?
Polymyxins are often the only effective antibiotic agent against multidrug-resistant organisms and so based off of our research as well I would say yes.
If Polymyxin B was found to be a stapled AMP, what would that mean?
The would mean that it has been chemically modified to make it more stable and resistant to degradation.
