  1. You mentioned in your conclusion how an invivo experiment would analyze effects on typhoid fever symptoms and further explore this compounds capabilities. Is there any possibility this experiment could be done exvivo? Would it be safer if it were done exvivo?

    1. Thank you for replying Kara. I do believe that treating S. Typhimurium infected tissues with Polymyxin B (sulfate) and placing it back into the organism would work effectively. Polymyxin is already approved for human use, so I believe it’s safe. However, I don’t know if it would be safer than in vivo. There are pros and cons such as exvivo shows the effects of the drug without being digested, which is both a pro and a con.
