  1. I love’d your presentation! What characteristics of Cannabigerol do you think contributed to it acting as a promoter for Salmonella Typhimurium?

    1. Previous research has suggested that Cannabigerol should have antibacterial properties, so our results were somewhat surprising. However, the CBG we had access to and used in our experiments was a combination extract that contained 9 other herbs. So my guess is that those herbs acted as nutrients that “fed” the bacteria. It is also possible that CBG didn’t have an antibacterial effect because we used gram-negative bacteria and previous testing has been primarily done with gram-positive bacteria.

  2. Great presentation! Was the CBG compound known to be expired before you started your experiments or was it something that you found out about near the end?
