    1. Getting this phage to show up was like pushing a boulder up a hill because we had to do 3 rounds of purification so Sisyphus seemed suiting. Our phage exhibited lytic behavior based on the clear plaques meaning it lysed the cell upon infection.

    1. Although it might be able to infect more bacteria, the bacteria used to isolate it was M.smegmatus so thats the one known bacteria is can infect.

  1. Do you plan on continuing your research through the process mentioned in your future steps bullet points?

    1. It’s a possibility but im a neuroscience major and thats the second level of this lab.

    1. So phages that are more genetically diverse are have a wider host range which means that they are able to infect more bacteria types.
