  1. What is the Titer calculation and what does that mean in context of your research

    1. The titer calculation is the density of plaque-forming units, this tells us the number of viable phage particles in a sample and how concentrated it is.

  2. Great job! What does the cluster of the phage tell and what does this mean in context of your research ?

    1. Thank you! The phage cluster tells us what specific enzymes cut our DNA, phages are extremely diverse so the clusters allow us to match it up with other phages like it and where it fits in.

  3. What does it mean when the DNA is high quantity and high quality. Also what was the number listed in the conclusion?

    1. The number listed in the conclusion is called the titer, it’s the density of plaque-forming units, this tells us the number of viable phage particles in a sample and how concentrated it is. The high quality and quantity basically means that the DNA we isolated is good enough to move out with our experiments.
