    1. Temperate phages are not used for phage therapy because of their ability to perform either lysis or lysogeny. Lytic phages on the other hand are much more preferred because of their habit to only perform lysis.

  1. What exactly is the process of the phage bursting open within the bacteria cell, and how does it bursting open kill the cell?

    1. The phage insert their DNA into the host, that DNA then uses host ribosomes to create new viral proteins which then form new phages. These phages then break the cellular membrane of the cell and go on to lyse the next cell
