  1. Aris Wertin (since my WP account doesn’t reflect this): What would you say a good summary of your methods are? I had a hard time following this, since I am not trained in phage.

    1. Hi! Sorry about that, I did go through it fairly quickly. I would say that overall the big steps were isolating a phage, going through multiple dilutions and purifications, to then after performing a quality control test we were able to move on to the big steps of our experiment with high quality DNA. We performed a restriction digest after this to test out specific hypothesized restriction enzymes would run, to then with that information we narrowed it down to specific clusters and ran a PCR test.

    1. A lytic lifecycle is a 6 stage lifecycle involving the destruction of an infected cell through cells replicating themselves and eating away at bacteria.
