In order to isolate the phage from the soil sample, the sample went through an enrichment process that produced many different types of plaques. From there, we performed 6 rounds of purification in order to isolate only one type of plaque.

A lot of A cluster phages belong to the Siphoviridae family, but this morphotype can be seen among many clusters.
